Windows 10: I no longer have pictures around the world as screen savers, why?

My computer seems to have updated itself. Now i have a horrible bluewave image on my screen when I used to have lovely pictures from around the world. someone gave an answer and i tried to access the lock screen 'windows highlight' but that did not work. Can anyone else help?Many thanks

Screen Saver Will Sometimes State No Pictures In Folder


Build 10537 (64 bit) same was true in prior builds.

I use the Pictures folder for a random slide show as a screen saver. Every now and then (I cannot intentionally duplicate the issue), the screen saver will start, go to a black screen, then state there are no pictures in the Pictures Folder.

This is incorrect, and in a screen saver preview, the pictures will display; and most often they also display during a normal screen saver engage. It appears to be a random glitch.

I also note that in prior Windows OS, such as 7, the pictures display immediately when the screen saver engages; in Win 10 the screen will remain dark for a longer periods prior to the pictures beginning to display.

Other screen savers, such as Mystify, begin displaying normally.

 

Shuffle Screen Saver pictures

Have you checked the Shuffle option in Screen saver settings? If you haven't, please follow these steps:

• Press Windows key, type Change screen saver
  and hit Enter.
• Click on Settings, next to Photos.
• Put a check mark next to shuffle pictures and click on
  Save.
• Click Apply and OK to save the settings.

• Press Windows key.
• Click on Settings > Personalization > Lock
  screen > Screen saver settings.
• You can choose the Screen saver that you want in the Screen Saver Settings
  window.
