Windows 10: I own a minecraft account but I must pay to play the game on the launcher

So I bought a minecraft account a couple months ago and it has been inactive. I tried logging on today after getting a new pc and doing a whole system restart. When I installed the minecraft launcher and logged into my account it logged me in without issue but then is when I encountered the problem. It is currently making me pay for the launcher or play the demo even though I have an account already. I don't know if this is a new feature or not, so I might be wrong here but please do your best to help me fix this problem.Sincerely,A returning Minecraft player.

Problem with the minecraft launcher.

There are many reasons why you can't log in to Minecraft Launcher, but all of them are due to Microsoft Store and related services. I will provide several methods to try to solve this problem, please refer to the following steps for operation:

• Clear the cache on Microsoft Store.
  

1. Press the Windows logo key + R, type wsreset.exe, and select OK.
   
2. After a few seconds a blank command prompt window will appear, which will disappear after about ten seconds and the Microsoft Store will open automatically.This means the cache was cleared successfully.
   

• Make sure you're using the Microsoft Store Install Service.
  

1. Services.msc can be found by pressing Windows Key + S and typing services.msc.
   
2. Locate and double-click the Microsoft Store Install Service; if the status is Running, right-click it and select Restart.
   
3. Change it to Automatic if it's disabled, then click Start and OK.
   

• Reinstall the Microsoft Store app
  

1. Press Windows key + X
   
   Click and Run Windows PowerShell(run as Administrator)Copy and paste the command below then hit Enter:
   
   

• Reinstall the Minecraft Launcher
  

1. Click Start >Settings >Apps，find "Minecraft Launcher" in all apps.
   
2. Click on the "Minecraft Launcher" Advanced options >Uninstall the application.
   
3. Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Minecraft Launcher", download and install it again, and log in to your account to see if it works.

Minecraft for Windows not available on the Minecraft Launcher

I've already downloaded and installed Minecraft for Windows from the Microsoft Store.

I've also opened it (not from the Minecraft Launcher) and logged in to my Microsoft Account (the same one I'm using on my Minecraft Launcher).

The game works perfectly fine. However, if I try to open the official Minecraft Launcher, the game is still marked as incompatible and it won't let me launch the game from there.

I know I could just launch it without the Minecraft Launcher, but it'd be nice to be able to launch it from the Minecraft Launcher just like I would do it with Minecraft Java Edition.

Is there a way to fix this?

 

When i try to launch Minecraft Launcher i get error code 0x803F8001 and it says that it's not 'available on my account'.

There's no minecraft launcher in my list. I just want to play Minecraft with my kid and this move from Mojang to Microsoft is absolute nonsense.

I bought a new computer, made a new user for her on my old one, bought the game on her new user account, and now I'm stuck because for some reason Microsoft thinks I'M NOT CONNECTED!

Can I please play minecraft with my kid?
