Windows 10: i own a toshiba satalite pro ronning win 10

since up dating win 10 my dvd player fails to find the discs cds are ok it seems as if the dvd/cd read,write is only working as a cd and not loading dvds hepl would be apreciated

I will retry some of your suggestions the app is Settings app for windows icon under files, is settings then power. it is the settings app that only flashes and it is gone. I will give you more after I try all of your suggestions. (note I have run sfc
scannow) but I will go through all of your suggestions and report back as soon as I go to the PC again. It is a friend of mine and I upgraded it to windows 10 for him and I have another Toshiba Satalite C855-S5236 that just won't upgrade. It gets to 99% and
fails reseting the PC to original windows

Do you have any comments about my other two points in my original questions?

• the Toshiba Dynadock which does not fully work with Windows 10
• my Microsoft Wedge wireless keyboard just cannot be recognized by Windows 10.
• Will Office 365 work satisfactorily with Win 7 Pro?

Questions about using a Boot Disk

• Windows 10 Home 64bit and I presume the latest version.
• it is installation media created from the Win 10 cation tool.
• the make/model of laptop is toshiba satalite.
• Windows 7 upgraded to Windows 10.
• No it actually doesn't reach the login screen, it just reaches a blue screen right before then.
