Windows 10: I plugged in a new mic but windows won't register it as existing.

Discus and support I plugged in a new mic but windows won't register it as existing. in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I have a new microphone plugged into the audio port, yet the laptop won't register the fact that it exists.     I plugged in a new mic but windows won't register it as existing.


    I have a new microphone plugged into the audio port, yet the laptop won't register the fact that it exists. I can't seem to get windows to acknowledge it at all.
