I purchased a Win10 pro Upgrade, but link is broken to access product. The purchase went through, but the link to download product appears to be broken.

Can't upgrade from Windows 10 Home to Pro

I suggest you to download and create an installation media for Windows 10 Pro form the link provided below:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-in/software-download/windows10

After the installation media is created, suggest you to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from the installation media. When the upgrade asks for product key, enter the product key purchased for Windows 10 Pro. If it does not accept, suggest you to skip the activation
step. After the Operating System is installed, suggest you to activate by phone by following the steps below:

• Press “Windows key + R” and type “slui 4” and press Enter.
• Select the Region from the list and click Next.
• Call the Toll-Free number provided on top and can activate via phone.

Win10 Pro

Hi, I bought a Win10 upgrade license on my old laptop. At the time I had a lot of issues upgrading the OEM Win10 Home as the upgrade purchase didn;t come with a product key. After lots of phone calls with MS they eventually provided me with a product key
and the laptop was upgraded to Win10 Pro.

I now have a new laptop and still require the Pro functionality. Following the steps here (which also tells me my Win10 Pro upgrade license is transferrable):

the OEMM Win10 Home didn't upgrade using the MediaCreationTool (it just offers to install Win10 Home), and the System > Upgrade and Settings > Activation upgrade function doesn't accept the product key I've purchased.

Any help would be appreciated - although useful Win10 is awful to upgrade and MS seem to have deprecatated a lot of their contact options.

 

(SOLVED) Cannot Access Windows 10 Pro Product Key

I have recently purchased an upgrade to Windows 10 Pro from Windows 10 Home so that I can use remote desktop features. I made the purchase on my desktop PC through the Microsoft Store, which led directly to installation.

When I attempt to install the upgrade on my laptop, the Microsoft Store asks me to purchase another Pro upgrade or enter an existing product key. The suggested location to find this key is in my Microsoft Account Order History. My order of Windows 10 Pro
appears here but does not display any product key. The order contains one clickable link - Windows 10 Pro on the order leads to a broken link (404). The email receipt for the order contains all the same.

What am I missing here? How may I work around this? Very disappointed having just purchased a product I cannot fully use.

SOLUTION: I have identified that only the server PC requires Windows 10 Pro; A PC running Windows 10 Home may remotely access a PC as long as the remote unit has Windows 10 Pro or better.
