Windows 10: I purchased an Acer Aspire and I’m having problems with the amount of memory on the SSD.

I purchased an Acer Aspire that was supposed to have 8 GB RAM & 256 GB of SSD MEMORY. After setting it up I noticed in my outlook account it only showed the laptop as having 6 GB’s of RAM, and 242 GB SSD. I then needed to do a CTRL F10 to rest all it to its factory defaults. All it did was cause me to lose over 53 more GB’s of my SSD Memory. Is their anyway to retrieve the memory?

Hi Captain.

While I'm not answering your question on a new AV I would suggest as a possible step, upgrading your ram.

Crucial has ram for your device. $40 (not sure about tax or shipping) Your device seems to have one slot so you would need the 4GB stick. As you are using 32bit OS you can only use of 3GB. Crucial says you have one slot for memory and tear down videos seem to confirm this.

Memory is static sensitive. Not as much of an issue when it is humid but still something to be aware of. If you don't want to buy a ground strap touch something that is grounded before starting the procedure and then don't go looking for things. Stay seated and perform. You should be fine.

External ram ??? Even if you could buy you wouldn't have port with sufficient speed to connect.

Zoom webcam not working on Acer Aspire M

Trying to connect the app Zoom to my Acer Aspire M so that I can use the device camera. The app is Zoom which is like Skype. When in Zoom the video just flashes and will not connect to the laptop camera.

Maybe I need to add the app to the app list under Camera Settings? How to?

 

Can't install W10 on a new SSD on Acer Aspire.
