I purchased Win 10 Pro on Nov 30, 2016 and I now need to upgrade my Win 10 Home to Pro, but I don't have the keys?I do have a record of the purchase through Microsoft.I replaced my motherboard and SSD and PC came with Win 7 I used the free upgrade to 10 in 2015

Unable to upgrade to win 10 pro

I purchased win 10 pro from the MS store in Oct 2016. This downlaoded and upgraded ok. Recently the laptop died and has now been replaced. The new laptop came with win 10 home and has been activated. I now want to transferv my licence for pro to the new
laptop but I never received a key when I purchased it, it was a digital licence. But when I go to the MS store it does not allow me to upgrade. I am using the same MS account as I had used when I purchased pro. Any suggestions?

I spent several hours with tech support last night and wound up being updated to 1809, biut still only home not pro.

 

Upgrade a Win 10 home OEM to Win 10 Pro OEM with Win 10 Pro OEM Key?

I recently purchased a laptop that has an OEM version of Win 10 Home on it.

I verified this by using : slmgr -dli.

Previously I had purchased an OEM Win 10 Pro Key.

Can I use this OEM Win 10 Pro Key to upgrade the OEM Win 10 Home to the OEM Win 10 Pro.

If so what are the steps to accomplish this?

In addition, I assume that is this is possible, that the current product key will be updated to the new product key?

The reason I am asking this is that it's my understanding that these product keys are tied to the bios on a name brand laptop.

Win 10 Hm > Win 10 Pro

I purchased an upgrade to move my desktop's Win 10 Hm to Pro and have now purchased a MS Surface Pro 6 running Win 10 Hm. I'd like to upgrade the Surface Pro from Win 10 Hm to Pro - do I need to purchase *another* upgrade when my surface is logged into
the same Microsoft account??
