I put a $15 gift card onto the wrong account on my xbox. Is there any way I am able to transfer that $15 over?

I just got off the phone with tech. support about a $15 gift card. When I opened the web page, microsoft.com/redeem, it automatically signed me into my old Xbox 360 account without my consent. I input the code and it credited my account. After I noticed
the mistake I called tech. support and they said there was no way for them to switch it to my Xbox One account. There has to be a way Microsoft can fix this. My accounts are linked on my Xbox One. If Microsoft can fix this before November 7th, I would be grateful.

Xbox was not in the Category, so I chose Windows.

I am confused by one thing on the Xbox gift card info page and it is that it says

• You can’t use the Xbox gift card to purchase content from the Xbox 360 Marketplace or Xbox 360 content on the Xbox One.

So if I wanted to buy a game, say Goat Simulator, could I do it on the marketplace? Or will I need to buy it off of the Xbox website, then download the game onto the Xbox. Please answer as I don't want to waste $25 and not be able to get a game and its DLC's
