  1. I put in a new processor and it's conflicting with and overdrive causing it to crash.

I recently got a Ryzen 7 2700x and put it in my pc yesterday. I had installed amd overdrive even though it didn't work for my old processor. It's an old version and incompatible with my current CPU. It's a boot app so it boots as soon as you turn my pc on and it's crashing it. I forgot my Microsoft password (because I use a pin because it's way faster) and changed it but then I realized that I clicked f4 for safe mode - not safe mode with networking. I turned it off and on again to get me back to the menu, and I clicked f5 (safe mode with networking) and plugged my pc in via ethernet so it didn't have to run a driver for my adapter but still no connection. I'm connected on my phone via WiFi so it's not that problem. It's requested my old password because it hasn't updated because it's not on the internet but I changed the password on my autofill on my MacBook Pro. When I try and enter the command prompt it asks me for the old password. I'm completely stuck here and can't really afford to miss another few days of schooling as I have already missed one day already! Any help is greatly appreciated ._.

  2. Overdrive App in Windows 10 on PC begins book download then at 3% tells me internet connection lost but I'm still connected

    Hi Erin,

To have a clearer view of the issue and be able to find the proper resolution for it, please provide us the following information:

    • Were there any changes made on the PC prior to the issue?
    • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Overdrive app?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the
    troubleshooter
    for Windows apps.

If the issue persists, perform a clean boot to try to eliminate software conflicts. If the Overdrive app runs correctly, the issue might be caused by application or service interferences. You may refer to this

    Microsoft article
for more information. Follow the steps provided in the article on how to determine what is causing the problem by performing a clean boot.

Let us know if you need further assistance.

New build all games crashing windows 10 pro 1903 18362.418

    Hello,

Please, complete your System Specs so we may better help you. I didn't see a PSU listed there.

A software conflict is also a possible cause of the random crash you're experiencing when playing games. To determine if an installed program is causing the crashes, I suggest performing a clean boot.

Be sure to check you're running the newer GPU driver, and your Graphics card settings are correct.

Check Device Manager for driver conflicts.

    Hope this helps.
