Windows 10: I question on disabling mics and renabling them

    I question on disabling mics and renabling them


    So I wanted to disable my mic for a while back and I did so by first turning it off for all apps from its menu, then when I found out about better methods I then also opened the device driver menu and disabled from there, I then went to what I believe is device properties and disabled from there as well, and doing this caused the mic to disappear from the device drivers list.

    Now my question is if between from after disabling from device driver and going to device properties I accidently clicked the test button for the mic and moved on doing the rest of what I did, what would happen? It shouldn't open up anything or do anything or record at all, and if I re-enable through everything I mentioned nothing should be amiss or there should be a backlog of test audio in a cache somewhere about to mess up anything I try to record later, right?

    I don't know if this question sounds weird im just curious if this will cause any weird glitches, I'm not great with computers. I don't have access to the pc for the time being but once I get back ill re-enable the mic and if you guys have any suggestions on what test I could perform or what should I do to verify everything's working that would be appreciated.

    USB Mic Problems.

    The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

    mic cutting in and out

    this issue started today, when talking my mic would constantly cut in and out, i have tried many different things such as trouble shooting disabling and renabling the mic on different apps, trying different headphones, restarts, updated the system, checked
    drivers and more and the problem still isn't fixed.

    restarts, updated the system, clean boot, checked drivers and more and the problem still isn't fixed.
