Since early 2015 when I became a an insider I have downloaded and installed build after build of Windows 10 and since July 29 I have updated and clean installed at least 10 systems from Asus laptops to Dell Desktops and a few home built systems. Am I just really lucky ? The issues that I see posted here are quite honestly amazing!!!
Every system that I have either upgraded or clean installed after upgraded has gone off without a hitch.
Sure you have to hunt and peck for some settings here and there but my worst problem was getting NUM Lock to work every restart!
But in my humble opinion......this is Microsoft's best and easiest upgrade ever! Especially since the Windows 8 disaster!

    :)

This issue is effecting me as well. I have read all over the Internet about how the windows 10 Nvidia driver is causing this issue.

This is is a seriously poor show and I'm amazed there isn't an official fix yet.....

Its not a very good start To a new os Microsoft, please fix this right away. Thanks.

    I am amazed ...

Agree partially... The biggest advantage of Nokia Maps is that these can be used OFFLINE and with Life time Free Voice Navigation (..in most cases on recent devices)..

  5. I have probably put W10 on 7-8 computers myself and never had an issue and continue to not have any issues, but that doesn't mean that other people aren't.
You have to remember, there are millions and millions of Windows users and there will always be issues when you have so many users. Usually the one with issues are almost always the most vocal and the most likely to express their dissatisfaction on the internet. I can't blame them as they just want things to work and come online looking for solutions.
Those who have no issues are a lot less likely to say something since they are satisfied and just go on with their computing.

Well, there are literally billions of different hardware combinations possible and it would be impossible to test each combination. And then you add in that each piece of hardware may have multiple versions of drivers from multiple sources.

One novel aspect is I've found is you can 'break' things all too easily by changing settings which appear to be specific, but may have unfortunate and not obviously related consequences. I've not experienced that to any extent with previous versions.

Provided I don't mess around with Settings significantly, replace and ignore the Win 10 menu, and use it as a traditional desktop, I've found I'm left with
    - remembering to turn System Restore back on (e.g. after TH2 upgrade and in-place repair install) and schedule restore points
    - changing the appearance so it's clearer and easier on the eye
    - every so often making sure Cortana isn't upset and sulking because something's upset her

It was a struggle changing the language to UK throughout..
    a. that's several different things to change + downloads
    b. Cortana, after demanding several things change, broke and started demanding Location - when location was enabled appropriately; solved by in-place repair install
    c. the keyboard setting doesn't 'stick' (system tray)

I have to replace the Win 10 menu as it doesn't usably express my hierarchical start menu.

It's notable that people are struggling more with Windows search... and Cortana search (My Stuff) appears limited to what's indexed.
Interesting is that caution should be exercised in changing Indexed Locations as you can easily end up with a slow search of Settings- I think if you don't choose to index Users. Obscure things like that don't really help.

MS changing associations to default with TH2 certainly didn't win them supporters.

The only disaster with Windows 8, was that retarded Metro interface. I have had just two issues when I did a fresh install of 10 on my test box. That was the missing network protocol error and smb 2 & 3 error. Fixed both of those, no issues.

I am running it on a Inspiron 537s Core 2 Duo, with 4 GB RAM Seagate 1TB Enterprise drive and it is flying. I am using 2.0 GB, 7% CPU usage. Even when I went from Vista to 8.1 to 10, I had zero problems with that.

Those who are doing screwed up things, are the ones having the major issues.

  10. I also have had no trouble from installing windows 10 on any systems I have upgraded it on.
Only 1 thing I have removed on all of them that my family uses because they did not want it.
IE11 disabled all systems use Edge Browser
Also did not bother activating Google search
    Use Bing
Result fast start up no crashes or freezes and very happy users

No not one of them liked IE11 when on 8.1 but waited till 10 came out then out with it,
Also did not want to try Chrome or FF or other Browsers.
Also as soon as paid version of McAfee runs out on all of our systems will probably all go to Windows Defender as it is improving all the time.

Different system specs, different attached peripherals, different software and thus different drivers, different settings, different customization etc.
All are variables that have something to with how the system works, no system is 100% identical to each other.
Any change could make something not work for someone while another change does, but doesn't for someone else.

Um... I'm sorry, but Windows 10 has a number of flat-out ridiculous 100% reproducible bugs, which have been acknowledged by Microsoft but not yet fixed. Under these circumstances it is not possible to have a Windows 10 installation that works "without a hitch". Your misguided belief that your installs "work without a hitch" is apparently based on your inability to recognize a problem even when it is right in front of you (sometimes people look at a blatant manifestation of a horrible bug, yet still think that it is how it is supposed of be).

    Agree!

And what's more scary, look at the trend
    10240 found no major problems
    10586 networking ****ed up
11082 networking still ****ed up progress bar when copying not showing introduced

How can anyone sane say there are no problems?
"Everything is running great, just do like I do", thereby implying that everyone having a problem is to blame.
Just don't point your finger -> MS
