I really need help. Try to update windows 10 KB5003173 but I always got the error 0x80070003. When I restart my computer for the update it would get to 50% and then the message "couldn't complete the updates undoing changes" comes up. I tried deleting and installing microsoft edge and that does not seem to work either. I do not have any 3rd party anti virus also. The troubleshoot does not say that I have any issue. Also I have tried the DISM.../Scanhealth and the sfc /scannow and that does not fix the issue either. I really do not want to reinstall windows.

Windows Update Error 0x80070003 on KB4022715 and KB3186568.

Hi, I'm getting error 0x80070003 on the cumulative and .NET updates for this month (KB4022715 and KB3186568). I'm using Windows 1607 (14393.1198). My system is not compatible with the Creators update.

I've tried many different things, all have failed. Things I've tried:

• SFC /scannow and DISM
• Windows Update Troubleshooter
• Manually downloading the updates
• The first 4 steps on "Fix Windows Update Errors": https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10164/fix-windows-update-errors
• Copying registry from RegBack to config folder
• Creating another user account and trying the update from there.
• Several different methods of resetting Windows Update including stopping services, clearing SoftwareDistribution folder, re-registering DLLs, deleting qmgr files, renaming catroot2 folder, restarting services, etc.
• Several batch files made for the error on Win 7 systems. Windows Update - Reset - Windows 7 Help Forums
• Resetting Win Update components (from Microsoft) https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/971058/how-do-i-reset-windows-update-components I got errors while re-registering about 1/4th of the DLL files. (Even after SFC works).

I have a copy of my system in a VirtualBox VM. I'm willing to try about anything on that. Keep in mind that it takes me about 2 hours to try a single method out in the VM. I will try any fixes in the VM before trying them on my real system anyway. I know the VM uses different drivers.

Error 0x80070003 in Windows Store

Hi everyone, hope this is an appropriate place to post this for help. So I have a Lenovo laptop. I get this error when Windows Store tries to update the Lenovo Settings app (and a few other apps, but not all my apps). This is really annoying as I set a battery charge threshold using the app and I can't change it without accessing the app, and when I click on it, it just flickers and doesn't open. I went through the steps in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-update-errors (which I found via this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-or-0x80070003), but it didn't solve the problem (please note that I couldn't do step 2 as in the past I've rolled back to a previous version of Windows 10). The last step is to reinstall Windows. Obviously I'm very reluctant to do this as it means I have to copy all of my files and reinstall all my apps, so I was thinking that first, if possible, I should try installing the Anniversary Update. Since I've rolled back from it in the past, can I re-update to it without reinstalling the whole OS (which is what I'm told to do anyway)? If not, I've heard there's a new version of Windows 10 coming in April, so I might just wait for that and see if that fixes it.
