  1. I really wish antimalware did not take up half my memory

I broke my screen out of frustration and then trashed it after. The antimalware had been really taking a toll on my patience for hours since trying to end it or at least stop it from throttling my memory usage and being audibly power hungry.Searching for serveral threads and tutorials on both Microsoft and thirdparty sites, I found no success in hmping this nuisance of security software. Damn it, and damn you

  2. Antimalware Service Executable

    Hello,

Currently I'm facing a problem with the antimalware service executable. It uses half of my memory, I did tried some solutions such as: Change Windows Defender’s schedule and Add Antimalware Service Executable to Windows Defender exclusion list. However, none of these solutions has yet fixed my issue. Any help is appreciated.

Should I install another antivirus program?

I really wish antimalware did not take up half my memory

Antimalware Service Executable using way too much memory

In Task Manager, Antimalware Service Executable is using >300MB of memory and absolutely destroying my experience of Windows. I've done a whole bunch of suggested fixes, such as turning off live protection and adding the MsMpEng.exe exclusion, but none of them worked. Also, I don't really want live protection off. I should be able to have it on without it churning through such a ridiculous amount of RAM. Any help?
