    Hi Marie,

    There are different types of Phishing scam, and the one that you received might be probably a
    "Deceptive Phishing" or "System Reconfiguration Attacks". For you to prevent receiving a phishing email and to be more aware about scams, we suggest that you report it by following the steps on this
    link. There are tips as well on the said link on how to determine a phishing email.

    You can protect yourself from any suspicious emails or messages that may be a phishing scams by following the preventive measures below:

    • Never reply to an email that asks you to send personal or account information.
    • If you receive an email, don't click any links that supposedly take you to another website.
    • Never open any file attached to a suspicious-looking email.
    • Search the web for the email subject line followed by the word
      hoax
      to see if anyone else has reported this scam.
    In addition, we’d like to request to perform the following steps below:

    • Provide us the screenshot of the malware you have encountered.
    • Run Windows Defender and perform a Full System Scan.

    Internet Scam? How to report, if so.

    Hello, this is a scam. Microsoft will never ask you to call them.

    Also their phone number is googleable so if you ever get a scam call like that, then you can look it up and ignore it.
