Windows 10: I recently got a new External HDD it worked for a few days now it doesn’t how do I fix this?.

This New External HDD I got from bipra. Worked for a few days now it doesn’t. Ever since today every time I plugged the usb in my laptop I’ve tried all the USB ports It shutdowns my computer talking about an error occurring and windows will restart for me. This repeatedly continues until I get to safe mode which when I press restart pc it returns to normal but it says that the usb malfunctioned and wasn’t recognized. I tried this multiple times I tried multiple steps but wasn’t satisfied. How do I fix this problem or is the External HDD unusable now.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

• Have you made any recent changes on your computer prior to the issue?
• Which driver did you uninstall? Have you reinstall the driver? If yes, how did you reinstall the driver?
• Have you check if the external HDD is visible in Device Manager?

diagnose external HDD

Thanks to all for our suggestions. I'm still working on this, but need to bow out for a day or two. Here's what I've tried so far:

• downloaded crystaldiskinfo and the HDD doesn't show there either.
• Tried jumanji suggestion #8and get "about:blank#blocked". could be my firewall but haven't gotten that message for a while
• My HDD is not in a case
• I can't use a UDB c cable on this drive. It has one of those long mini connectors with a long and short side
• Device Driver shows no yellow triangles (see image)
• I have a Windows 10 laptop but haven't tried the drive there (yet)
  Yes, my desktop is the Acer mentioned in my profile
