Windows 10: I recently got a new pc but it wouldn't let me install the drive that allows me to access...

I can't download the drive that allows me to access wireless network i checked on my motherboards page to get the drive but after i got it onto a usb it didn't let me install it to my pc. I got the ethernet one to install but it wont let me install the wireless drive im wondering if it is the motherboards problem or something else.

I just read an article in the new Linux magazine on the use of Ramdisks. Using those as a file system can drastically speed up read and write performance. That would be a cool feature to build in the OS of mobile phones that hold a memory card anyway, wouldn´t
it. Then saving a large Excel sheet wouldn´t take ages as it does now (on my E61 anyway), but just a few seconds...

I see a Drive (N under allowed apps under Controlled Folder Access. Please advise what this is about.

I recently went in the Controlled Folder Access to give access to an Application when I noticed that at the end of the list I saw a Drive (N under the allowed list. I have tried to remove it, but am unable to. The Remove buttom is there but it doesn't remove it.

Please suggest what this may be about and how can I remove it from the list of Allowed Apps.

Accessing a Hard Drive...

...from a dead laptop.

My girlfriend's laptop recently s**t the bed, and she has a lot of photos she would like to retrieve from it. I used a USB to IDE cable to try, but it's a no go. Her drive has Windows XP Home on it, and my system has Win7 x64. The computer recognizes the drive, but it wants me to initialize it, which I think may format it.

I don't know if it's formatted FAT32 or NTFS. Are there any suggestions on accessing the drive to pull all this data off of it?
