Windows 10: I recently got a notification saying: Time Zone Change, Due to a recent location change...

What is stranger about this, is that there is this guy I know who is from Kansas, and when I go to check the new location, it is set to HIS address, not mine. He has never told me his address other than the fact he lives in Kansas, and we are both freaked out. I have tried all of the things such as turning on and off automatic time zone change, I have tried to set my location manually, I have even gone into the command prompt to set my time zone to my real one. Despite all of this, my location always resets back to his within 5-10 minutes. I have searched online for the answer but can't find o

Time Zone Change

I moved states recently and went to change my time zone, only to discover my new time zone (Sydney) wasn't on the list.

How do I get the new time zone added. I would have thought all the major cities would have been there automatically.

 

Recent Mexico time zone & DST changes

Hello,

On the evening of October 28, 2022, the Mexican government published a decree that cancelled the DST changes for the entire country, and moved the time zone for certain regions.

The problem is that the decree took effect on October 30, at midnight.

Basically, the changes are:

• Mexico Central Time (Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey) stays at UTC-6, but removes DST change from April, 2023
  
• Mexico Mountain Time (Chihuahua, Mazatlan, La Paz) stays at UTC-7, but removes DST change from April, 2023
  
  • Chihuahua moves to UTC-6, without DST (this applied Oct. 30)
    
• Some municipalities that border with the US will be using US time zones for now
  

Especially in Chihuahua, it's been a mess with calendars and airlines and everything.

Is Microsoft aware of this change? I looked at the DST Blog and there is no comment about it yet.

Recent (Save Files) - Change Default Settings to OneDrive

Thanks for the return. Before I undertake changing the Registry, I have a question.
The steps in my Registry, for my version of Windows 10, were a bit different, but I think I eventually got to the right spot.
The last step is to change the number of places you want to list in Recent Places. In my case, the default Max Display listed 50 as the number. So, if I were to change that number, how do I know the Save As page will be one of those places? Or, a similar question, will this registry change delete the tab Recent from my Save As page? This is what I would like to happen.
When I received my computer in Nov. 2016, the Recent tab was not listed in the Save As page. Something caused it to be added over time. Which brings me to this second question. Would there be any benefit in deleting the changed registry listing and reverting back to the default listing? See attachment.
