i recently purchased a pre-owned laptop running windows7 starter, how do i upgrade to windows 10 or 11 for free

We understand your concern as you are getting a prompt to purchase Minecraft Starter Edition. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below

• Where did you redeem the code?
  
• Where and when you are getting this purchase prompt?

However, we would like to inform you that Minecraft Bedrock Edition is not available in Microsoft Store. In Microsoft Store you will have the Minecraft Starter and Master collection.



If you have redeemed the code in Mojang website and installed the Bedrock edition from Mojang, then we will suggest you to reinstall the game from Mojang website and sign in with the same account, which was
used for redemption.



Minecraft Starter collection is all together a different game, which you have to purchase separately from Microsoft Store.



I would also suggest you to contact the Mojang support team for further assistance on this issue.

Windows 10 upgrade from Windows7 Starter error code:8024402C

*Original Title: Windows 10 upgrade from Windows7 Starter

Hello all

I have been trying to upgrade to the new Windows10 for the past 2 days from Windows7 Starter but an "unknown error" with code 8024402C keeps popping up at about 8% then the whole upgrade just stops. Can anybody assist with ideas on what this means?

No recent document for applications on start menu


Hi!
I used to have Windows7 for many years and lately I upgraded it to Windows10.
On Windows7 I used to have for the application on start menu a black arrow right and when I hover it, I see the recent files I used (see attachment from Windows7 - red circles for the arrows):





Now at my laptop with Windows10 I don't have these arrows.
Any suggestions how can I make them appear again?
