Windows 10: I recently purchased wireless 4k display adapter but does not work like it should

Hi,Connecting my Dell u2719d monitor directly to the PC through HDMI cample I get a max resolution with 60hz Normal but connecting it through Microsoft wireless 4k adapter it only gives me the option of 1080p with 30hz. Everything is updated. Is it really possible to get 60hz with this adapter or not? I would appreciate a little help here.Thanks

4k wireless display adapter

Hi,

I recently purchased a 4k wireless display adapter. I used the display adapter app to change the display name and add a password - all worked fine. Finally, I updated the firmware (version 3.9520.47). I left the device plugged in until I was told the update had finished (i.e. I didn't unplug it before it had finished installing) but the update completely broke my adapter.

Now when I plug the adapter in, the light doesn't turn on and the device can't be detected by a computer. It's like it is getting no power through the USB at all. I have tried holding the reset button in but still nothing.

Please help? Can I fix this adapter? Why would an update render it useless?

4K Wireless Display Adapter

Hi!

I'v just upgraded my wireless display adapter to the "4K Wireless Display Adapter" and it started off by working very well. This, however didn't last long. I'v connected it to a projector that unfortunantly didn't have a USB port. To solve this problem I connected the USB to an external power supply (a power strip with an Ipad power adapter). This worked fine in the beginning, but now when I turn on my projector it can't find the adapter without me having to plug it in and out. Could this be because the the display adapter is constantly running? Or could it be beacuse the Ipad power adapter isn't supplying enough power (It's shouldn't be becasue of this since the Display adapter needs an input of 5W/1A which is excactly what the power adapter has). Any solutions?

 

4K Wireless Display Adapter

Purchased 3 of the 4K Wireless Adapters and two of them worked great. This last one is not turning back on after firmware was updated. I have looked online to see how I can get it exchanged or get other solutions to get this unit going again. If help would be apprecaited.
