Windows 10: I refound a dlc on steam and now the game its not working

Hello, I bought a dlc on steam for the game called: shinobi striker, more precisely the dlc is called "sasuke the last battle" and after playing a bit with it I agreed to give it a refound because no I like it and I don't find it fun to call it that. After receiving money back from dlc I tried to get into the game but I noticed that it doesn't work anymore because I get an error that sounds something like this: "some add on content has not been activated and is preventing the game from starting" and I don t whant to lose all my progress making another character from 0. Please help me !

Game DLC for games bought on a different platform

You have to buy DLC from the same place you buy the game from, be that the dread MS Store, EPIC, Steam or the others.

Which has always made things difficult for people who the disc based copy. It's always been this way.

(Well, I believe so. It may not apply to all games. I don't buy DLC packs. Only when they are included with the 'special' version of a game)

One reason EPIC are giving away free games, other than attract people to their new store, is to sell the DLC later.

I would be a bit surprised if MS don't have a notice regarding having to have their 'version' of the game to use the DLC.

I believe Steam have a note to this effect in their DLC buy\download pages. But then... We are talking about MS, so why am I surprised ?

I believe the main reason is when you buy a game from an online retailer they include the DLC you haven't paid for when you install the

game, which can add a lot of wasted GB's to your HDD whether you want the DLC or not, so they expect you to give them the $$ for

that DLC you already have if you do want to use it. Not another company who may have the DLC on sale atm.

Personally, this forerunner of loot boxes is a pox on gaming which people should have boycotted long ago. Then they may not have

invented loot boxes to squeeze even more $$ from the gaming public.

At least the game publishers have stopped pretending it's 'new' content created after they released the game.

 

Steam games do not work after latest update

Windows 10 Steam game crashes

I suggest you to update the Graphic Card driver by following the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager.
• Expand Display Adapters.
• Right click on the driver and select Update Driver Software.
• Follow the on-screen prompts to update the driver.
