    I cannot reinstall "Microsoft Edge WebView 2 Runtime"

    I can no longer ignore the annoying prompts to switch to "new teams" as "classic teams" seems to be at end of life. I was avoiding the switch because "new teams" for me did not opperate properly. I assumed this would be something that was fixed in the trial period befor forcing it on users, but it sounds like it is on the users to fix. On this forum I have seen others have sucess with this issue by reinstalling "Microsoft Edge WebView 2 Runtime" unfortunatly I am unable to do so.

    When I try to install it i get "Insatlation failed. The Microsoft Edge WebView 2 Runtime is already installed for the system". Additionaly when I try to Uninstal or Modify it from the add/ remove section of my settings the options are greyed out.

    Does anyone have a solution for me?
    I am running Windows11 Home 21H2

    I ran the steps to reinstall Windows 10 default apps after Defender showed no problems. I have my mail program back but instead of Edge I have Internet Explorer. Edge has got to be on this machine somewhere because when I clicked on a hyperlink in an e-mail
    (that I trust) it opened in Edge. But I can't find edge in the programs.

    If I click on start and type Microsoft Edge a list comes up with the Edge icon at the top and further down Edge is listed. I have tried right clicking and pinning to start but nothing happens. I have tried double left clicking to try to open but nothing
    happens.

    Any other suggestions?

    How to restart Microsoft Edge WebView 2 Process ?

    Is there any process that can be restarted which is part of the "Microsoft Edge WebView 2" via Tasķ Manager ?
