Windows 10: I removed the threat before mistakenly clicked allowing threat, will my laptop have problems?

This is a following post for Feb 6Bascially, after removing all malware and trojan. And I accidently clicked allowing threat trojanpop-up from window defender. I was still paranoid about I misclicked it, and then I reinstalled my windows. I just want to make sure my laptop is okay because I am so worried about itThank you very much

Threat detection Options confusion

Hello,

I had a virus on my PC and windows defender quarantined it.

But I clicked on the “Action” button and has three options: Removes , Restore , and Allow

I clicked on Remove, but the threat status changed to: “threat removed or restored “

Which is confusing.

I then clicked again on the “Action” button and only 1 option appeared which is “ Allowed” I mistakenly Clicked on. But then I removed it from the “ allow history “

So my question:

• does allowing a “ removed or restored” threat means releasing it again in the PC or it means only allowing the future similar threat?

Because I run a scan after i removed it from allow history and nothing is detected.

I’m very confused. I would appreciate help.

deleting a allowed threat

Using Windows Defender Security Center I mistakenly allowed a threat, BUT it is a threat. How do I delete since it is now allowed?

Hi Filip,

If you think you accidentally allowed a threat, open Windows Security → Virus and Threat protection → “Allowed Threats.”

If any items are listed on that page, select each threat and click “Don’t allow”.

Also, check the Exclusions. Open Virus and Threat protection → Manage Settings → Add or remove Exclusions. If there are suspicious entries there, remove them.
