Windows 10: I replaced the hard drive on my HP ENVY x360 and reinstalled Windows 10 from a USD drive...

I updated the drivers and ran the hardware tests from BIOS and everything checked out fine.I went through all of the steps in the various trouble shooters both Windows and HP.

HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx: Two hard drives?

I'm working on a HP Envy x360 15m-dr1012dx. The specs say it has a 512GB nvme, and that shows in disk management. But it also shows a 27.25GB "D" drive that is bitlocker encrypted.

Does anyone know what this second drive is all about?

• When you say, “how do I open the cd/dvd disk drive on the back” are you not able to open the drive to enter a disk or trying to replace the drive?
  
• What is the exact model number of the HP Envy PC that you are using? To check type:
  msinfo32 in the search bar on the Taskbar and hit
  Enter.
  

If the CD/DVD drive is not getting detected on the computer, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the HP article

If you are unable to burn CD/DVD using the drive, I suggest you to refer the steps mentioned in the HP article

In some cases, the drivers that come with Windows do not work with some devices. When this occurs, it is necessary to manually install the drivers provided by the manufacturer.

Go to the support area of the HP website and search for your computer model. Then, download and install the latest audio driver.

If you can't find the correct driver, let me know the exact model of your HP. The HP ENVY x360 has some variants.

If you prefer, you can send a screenshot of your system information.

- Press "Windows + R", type msinfo32 and press Enter.

Maximize the window and use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.
