Windows 10: I reset my PC and removed everything off it and now my PC only has 1GB left of 38GB

I decided to reset my PC so I could get space to update to the newest Windows 10 feature update, however when I went to update after resetting the PC and removing all my old files there is only 1GB left on the drive. I'm not sure what I can do as I can't even reset the computer again because it requires 5GB to do so. I'm thinking maybe I need to reinstall Windows entirely? I really don't know what to do. I just want to get my laptop running the most recent Windows 10 version. My current version of Windows 10 is 1803. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Unable to reset the pc

Hello,

If you are having that message while trying to reset your computer, We suggest you to create an installation media for Windows 10 using Media
Creation Tool and perform a Reset.

Once the installation media is created, follow the steps below:

• Insert the installation media you created, and then restart your PC.
• On the Install Windows screen, select Repair your computer.
• On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. From there, you can use Safe Mode. Select
  Advanced Options >Reset This PC>Remove everything.
• After the reset is complete, check for status.

missing apps after reset to the PC

• Are you not able to access the Windows store?

Before performing reset ensure you must have to select
Keep my files. It will do the following,

• 
  Reinstalls Windows 10 and keeps your personal files.
  
• 
  Removes apps and drivers you installed.
  
• 
  Removes changes you made to settings.
  
• 
  Removes any apps your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows 10, apps from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)
  

So as you have performed the reset to your PC the apps are missing. We suggest you to download the applications again and check if it helps.

 

Can't reset pc with windows 10

Hi,

Let us try to reset your PC through the Windows Recovery Environment. For instructions, please follow these steps:

• Press Shift +Restart from the Power options.
• Select Troubleshoot.
• Under Reset This PC, you may choose Keep my files or
  Remove Everything.

Note: Keep My files versus Remove everything.

Keep my files

• Reinstalls Windows and keeps your personal files.
• Removes applications and drivers you installed.
• Removes changes you made to settings.
• Removes any applications your PC manufacturer installed. (If your PC came with Windows , applications from your PC manufacturer will be reinstalled.)

Remove Everything

• Reinstalls Windows and removes all your personal files.
• Removes applications and drivers you installed.
• Removes changes you made to settings.
• Removes any applications your PC manufacturer installed.
