Windows 10: I reset my PC, created a new account and I cannotr access Device Manager, I have screen...

God Afternoon, I performed a reset on my Home PC, running windows 10 Home 22H2 edition. Created an entirely new profile and account. Wen to look at the Decvice manager and i cant get into it. I have several screenshots that show errors with one showing "restricted" How do I clear that up? Most annoying.

Am unable to create a new user. Accounts -> Add someone else to this PC options is not working to create a new account.

Do not worry we will help you with this issue.

Try few of the troubleshooting steps below and check if it helps.

I suggest you to sign out from the current user account, restart the computer, sign-in and check with the status of this issue. As this might be a temporary issue.

Follow the below steps to create a new user account:

• Press Windows + X keys from the keyboard, click on
  Control Panel.
• Select User Accounts, click on Manage another account.
• Select Add a new user in PC settings, click on
  Add someone else to this PC and follow onscreen instructions.

Cant access computer management, device manager, or disk management

Hi,

For us to effectively assist you, we need the following information below:

• Do you have any other user accounts active on your device? If yes, have you tried to remove them and see if that works?
• Have you tried to create a new administrator account and try to access those applications? As only the administrator account user can access paths such as disk management.

It would be best to make sure that you are logged in to an administrator account and not a local account to make sure that you have full access to your computer. You can check on how to log in as an administrator through this

link.

We also suggest to make a new user account and try to access it from there and if it works fine then it would mean that the administrator account is the one having issues.

You can also use the System File Checker to check for system file corruption by following the steps on this

link.

To understand the issue better, I suggest you to answer the below questions.

• How are you trying to access this option?
• Do you have any other accounts that you are able to login?

Try to Enable the Hidden Admin account:

From Login Screen try the below steps.

• 
  On the sign-in screen, hold the Shift key down
  while you select Power > Restart
  (in the lower-right corner of the screen).
  
• 
  After your PC restarts to the Choose an option screen, select
  Troubleshoot > Advanced options >
  
• Click on Command Prompt, type the command and click
  enter.

• 
  net user Administrator /active:yes
  (there is a space after administrator)
  

Restart the computer to login to admin account
and then create new user account and check.
