I restarted my PC and all of my programs logged out and something deleted

I turned off my computer then turned it on immediately after and when I signed in my discord, steam and blizzard had logged out when they normally don't, this is the first time this happened and when I tried to launch Overwatch it had to quickly re claim disk space and my CS:GO also completely just uninstalled and also and to re install using the already existing files, what could have this been, is it a virus? I've recently run Windows defender and it didn't detect anything, thank you

    :)

Program MalwareBytes deleted from pc after restart

    Hi Hans van Swoll,

This incident usually happens if after the update, you were logged on to a temporary profile. Also, there are programs that may have been detected by the system as threat to the security of your device allowing it to delete some files and programs on your
    computer.

For us to better assist you, I'd like to know the following details:

    • Have you had error signing in to your account after the update?
    • Which build and version of Windows 10 are you currently running? To check this, press
Windows logo key+ R, type winver, then select
      OK.
    • Are you currently logged on to a temporary account? To check, select
      Start
      > Settings > Accounts >
      Sync your settings
. You will see a message at the top that states
You are logged on with a temporary profile. Roaming options are currently unavailable
      .
    • What is the exact error message/stop code you were getting?

As for the troubleshooting, you may refer to the steps below:

    • If you have determined that you are logged on to a temporary profile, restart your PC and sign in again. This should remove the temporary account and your files should be available again.
Restarting your PC and signing in again also works if you see a message that states
We can't sign into your account. This problem can often be fixed by signing out of your account and then signing back in.
    • Select the search box on the taskbar and search for your files. If you don’t see them and you’re not signed in with a temporary profile, use the troubleshooter to fix problems with Search. In the search box on the taskbar,
type indexing, and then select Indexing Options. Select the Advanced

      button
to view more options, then select the Troubleshoot search and indexing link and follow the steps.

Let us know how it goes.

Program MalwareBytes deleted from pc after restart

Thanks for the details you provided. It is possible that your device is corrupted and infected by a malicious software causing it to perform really slow. Also, tons of programs installed on your device can also cause a slow performance.

For us to determine if the missing programs we're deleted on the system, I suggest that you check it by typing
appwhiz.cpl to the search bar then hit Enter. From the Programs window, check if the program is still there. If it is missing, more likely that it was uninstalled or removed from your device. If ever it's still on
the list of programs, it may be that the desktop icons were deleted or hidden.

    To see the hidden icons:

Right-click (or press and hold) the desktop, point to View, and then select
Show desktop icons to add or clear the check mark.

You can also check the Recycle Bin if the program was deleted.

I also suggest that you create a new local profile. Once done, check if the
same programs present. Then run a full scan on your device while logged in to the new user profile. I do recommend using Windows Defender, but if you have any other antivirus program, you can use it as well.

    Update us with the results.

    PC will not restart

I would like to have you run a Clean Boot.

How to perform a Clean Boot.

Warning: Disabling items in Services or Startup may leave your antivirus disabled until the process is ended. For this reason I would suggest that you perform this process off line.

    Press the
I restarted my PC and all of my programs logged out and something deleted 7W6b39o.png
keys to open Run, then type msconfig in the search box. This will open System Configuration.

If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, you should enter the password or provide confirmation.

    (1) Click/tap on the General tab.

    (2) Click/tap on the Selective startup option.

    (3) Remove the check mark in the Load startup items check box.

    4. Click on the Services tab.

    5. Place a check mark in the Hide all Microsoft services check box, this will remove the Microsoft Services from the list but will still be running.

    6. Click Disable all, this will remove all of the check marks in the Services list.

    7. Click on Apply then OK

I restarted my PC and all of my programs logged out and something deleted ljHR4ZW.png

Click on Restart in the window that opens.

When the computer is restarted it will boot normally.

If the problem does not continue after the restart please do the following.

    8. Divide the number of these startup services and programs by two and you place checks in the first half of these, then restart the computer.

    9. If the problem doesn't return in those services and programs remove the checks and place checks in the remaining services and programs and restart the computer.

    10. When you find which half the service or program is in go on to the next step.

    11. The half which has the service causing this problem remove half of the checks as you did previously to see which half has this service. Do the same for the programs. Restart the computer.

    12. If it isn't in the first half of these services and programs, do the same with the last half of the services and programs.

    13. Once you have narrowed it down to the last three or four services and programs remove the checks one at a time till you find the service or program at fault.

Once you have found the service or program post it in your topic. Do not take any action until I suggest the next step.
