I run a photo watermark app on my windows 10, it finds more files in each folder that shows in when open that folder. It cant be deleted, when trying the computer freezes and only option is shutting it off manualy. i tried find hiddden files function, ran virus scan by Cortex XDR, Nothing... is this virus or something of concern, or just normal?i can copy the location adress within the program, and paste it into the folder. then i find the files. but seems like its coruppted files. the program that finds theese files is "Fast Stone Resizer" used it for a long time.

Windows 10 Photos App Not Displaying all Photos and Folders

I've been trying to research this issue and have tried a number of fixes. Here is the situation:

• I am using a network drive for my photos
• "Collection" will not show all of my photos - many are missing.
• If I go to "Folders" view:
  • Some will show only a subset of the photos.
  • Others will not show any photos at all.
  • Several folders don't show up at all (yet if I search for them in the search bar, they do)
• If in Windows Explorer I click on any of the missing photos or folders, they all open with no issues with the photos App

I have tried a number of fixes:

• I have used the windows app troubleshooter
• I reset the photos app
• I have added and removed the folders in the photos app settings
• I uninstalled and re-installed the photos app
• I "refreshed" folders within the app
• I changed permissions for the photos folder
  • Added SYSTEM to all sub-folders and files

In all I have spent hours trying to get this to work - and its not. I really want to use the photos app to manage my extensive library of family photos. Any other suggestions to get this to work? Is this a known issue with Windows 10 Photos App?

Photos App won't recognize my Windows Phone

I understand that the Photos app is not recognizing the Windows phone even though you can import the photos from the Windows phone through File explorer.

Before proceeding, we need more information to help you better.

  Did you tried to connect the Windows Phone to the other USB port and check to isolate the issue?

  Is this the first time you are facing this issue with the Photos app after installing Windows 10?
  

Kindly follow the below steps and check if it helps to fix the issue.

Step 1:

As you are able to import the photos from your phone through the File explorer, follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• 
  Make a folder called "testslide" (or whatever in File explorer)
  
• 
  Put 3 or 4 images which you have imported from the Windows phone to File explorer into the
  testslide folder.
  
• 
  Open Photos app, click on
  Setting (gear symbol) at the left bottom corner).
  
• 
  Choose Add a folder under the Sources.
  
• 
  Find this "testslide" folder and add the respective folder.
  
• 
  Now check whether the Photos app is showing the photos from the selected folder.
  

Note: Try to turn off the option
Show my cloud only content from One Drive in the Photos app settings menu and check to isolate the issue.

If the issue persists, follow the below step.

Step 2:

• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
