I have many XP games but I am having problems when there is more than 1 disc to load. Disc 1 no problem. It ask for disc 2 abd click OK. However, when I do this and click OK, nothing happens. When I look into disc 2, there is no exe file. Help please.

Cant open old (disc) games

A disc game,as in you play from a disc/cd.Either way,if its an older windows game,one could locate the start/run icon/r.click/properties/compatability tab/select to run in older windows OS/XP is usually a good one/exit tabs/start game.Also,one doesn't
need a script to run it,try run/type in the start up run data.Also,if it does run thru a disc/cd the performance would be poor.

Installing a game with multiple discs on laptop (Windows 8)

Hi,

I'm currently using a Toshiba laptop running Windows 8. When I try to install an older PC game that uses four discs to install, I run into an interesting issue.

I can insert the first disc into the dvd/cd drive and it will open up and I click to give permission to run and installation begins. When it hits 25% installed it asks for the second disc. Naturally, this being a laptop only has one disc drive.

So I remove disc 1 and insert disc 2. For some reason it does not get read properly and installation does not continue. If I try to open the disc drive location and click on the setup/exe file on disc 2 it thinks I'm trying to start installation over.

How can I change my settings to read through the multiple disc installation process?
