I saved my Word document manually several times after making several edits. When I re-started my computer, I opened my word document and nothing had saved- when I tried to press the "auto recovery" button, it would say "error" and now it doesn't say auto-recovery at all. I have already looked at my version history, and I have already browsed deleted files. The document it self is not anywhere on my PC and was only saved from when I saved it manually before my computer restarted to word. I've looked at my OneDrive, I've looked in every folder. Please help-

Edit the Steps recorder document

How can I edit the Steps recorded by the Steps recorder application? Once I finish recording the necessary steps, there are few steps I'd like to delete and few comments that I'd like to edit.

So if I open the saved file in word document and edit it there I need it to,

• automatically update the number of the proceeding steps when I delete one in between.
• Retain the size of the images and overall page size in the MHTML document. (I've noticed that if I make a single change, the size of image increase more than the screen size and the MHTML document isn't responsive.)

 

Lost Word documents

Hi LornaRadke,

Firs check your recycle bin folder probably you can find your lost file there. If not found there then try another way of searching your lost documents file by their name in the search box.

Still not found, then apply these manual steps: Open MS Word > click the File Tab > Click Manage Document >select Recover Unsaved Documents from the drop-down
list > Check for your missing file in the dialog box >Open the recovered Word document > click the Save As button in the top banner.

Probably you will find your lost documents on this list.

Finally if not shows there then try the last alternative option i.e. third party free data recovery programs like Recuva, stellar data recovery free edition, recoverit, etc. These utility programs completely free and can help you to recover your lost
files. You can try your luck. Thanks

 

Edit and Save into Word

I edited a word document that was sent in an email. After editing, I copied and pasted into another Word Document and saved it on my desktop... now, I call it up and it is not in Word...
