Windows 10: I saw a message on my screen Monday saying my a trojan was inserted and a **** downloaded...

I logged onto my computer Monday and a security message saying a **** was downloaded, a trojan was inserted, my computer was disabled and I should call the # immediately. This covered my entire computer screen. I kept trying to get rid of this message but not successful. I could not do anything on my computer. Finally, I called the # shown and a man named Daniel Parker answered. He showed me his ID that he is a Microsoft employee, asked me questions, and acted like he would help me, so I somewhat trusted him. I kept asking how this had happened since I have had Windows Defender in use for year

OneNote 2016 says no internet

Hello,

OneNote 2016 claims not to have access to the Internet.
OneNote is not rendering videos when the YouTube URL is pasted into OneNote.
It wasn't until I tried Insert > Online Video when I saw this message:

"Check your internet connection and try inserting the video again."





Steps taken to remediate:

1. Check for updates; none.
2. Checked Firewall; OneNote is allowed both Inbound & Outbound traffic.
3. Run full system Disk Cleanup; NO GO
4. Checked for OS corruption; none
5. Restarted System; No Go
6. Uninstalled/Installed Office; NO GO

I've seen a few threads related to this issue, but no resolutions.
I saw one mentioning an HKCU Reg Key, but that key didn't exist on my system.

Anyone else seen this or know what's causing this feature failure?

Virus Trojan:32/Wacatac.DC!ml not completely remediated on Windows PC

One more time, looking for help on this. I go through the extensive list of steps above, including running script, adaware, cleaner and emisoft. No problems noted. I make sure the temp file and WD Service files are empty. I shut down the computer. In the morning I start up and a notification says WD has blocked wacatack trojan. The time listed is the time I shut down.

Anyone?
