How do I stop a possible virus? Win 10. Everything we plug an external drive into any USB port a popup shows asking to upload pictures, etc. it says "keep your memories safe", Top left says camera update.

This is nothing I have seen before, and does not show up on other machines when same external drives are attached.

None of the external drives have a backup program on them.

I have scanned with Hitman Pro, Malwarebytes and of course Defender which is running with no results.

    How do I stop this?

no action after screen with camera icon. Eventually message appeared " something went wrong: here is message code if needed: 0x400F4271>MediaCaptureFailedEvent>0xC00D3704. We seem to be moving ahead a step at a time. Next suggestion?

I see Camera Upload Message, is it a Virus?

upload pictures and saving from camera

    Hi,

How are you trying to upload the Photos? Are you using any application software for uploading the photos?

What exactly happens when you try to upload the Photos? Do you receive any error message?

Do you have webcam on your computer? If so, are you using Camera app to click Photos?

All pictures, videos, and panoramas you take with the Camera app are saved to your camera roll. There are different ways you can look at your camera roll.

    • Camera app: Will be saved i Camera roll folder.

    • Photos app: Go to the Pictures library, and then to the
      Camera roll folder.

    • File Explorer: Go to the Pictures folder, and then to the
      Camera roll folder.
Please reply us with the required information to assist you further.
