Windows 10: I see my net work on Wi-Fi. It works on my cell phone not on my laptop. What should I do?

Why can I not connect to my Wi-Fi when all my other devices connect? It’s in the computer but it doesn’t recognize it.

Phone home wi-fi not working

All of a sudden I cannot access Internet on my phone on my own secure wi-fi. The wi-fi is working (laptop connected and has been playing Youtube continually throughout) and on the phone my connection shows up and says it is working but when I try to access
anything that requires the Net, it says 'an Internet connection is required..." This started less than 24 hours after last update, but other than that no idea what could have changed. Help please.

Please check if the issue persists when connecting to another Wi-Fi network, such as a public hotspot or your smartphone's hotspot. This can help us determine if the issue is with your laptop or your home Wi-Fi network.

If the issue persists, please try the following steps:

> Open Device Manager by pressing the Windows key + X and selecting Device Manager.

> Expand the Network adapters category and locate your Wi-Fi adapter.

> Right-click on the Wi-Fi adapter and select Uninstall device.

> Restart your laptop, and Windows will automatically reinstall the Wi-Fi adapter.

If this does not resolve the issue, please try disabling your antivirus or firewall temporarily and see if it makes any difference. Sometimes, these security programs can interfere with network connections.

If the issue still persists after trying the above steps, it could be a hardware issue with your Wi-Fi adapter, and I would recommend seeking assistance from a professional technician.
