Windows 10: I set up my laptop under organization by accident - how can i change it to personal

Hi All


I ws setting up my new laptop and I clicked organization by mistake. I am a one man band and don't have any external servers or networks to connect to. I think I should have set it up as personal - Is there a way to change it. When I go through to settings and try to delete the accounts it asks me for an alternate account info and won't accept it.

• Right-click your mouse on your desktop.
• Click on Personalize.
• Select Colors.
• Click on High contrast settings.
• From the drop-down menu, select None.
• Click Apply.
• Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

Did that and it doesn't work.

Open Start Menu and type gpedit.msc.

• Right click on gpedit.msc and Run as Administrator.
• Navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Data Collection and Preview Builds.
• Find Allow Telemetry and double click on it.
• Change its setting to Enabled and change the drop down menu entry to 3-Full.

• Click on Apply and OK.
• Again open the file and change setting like before. That means change Enabled to Not Configured.
• Still see: *Some settings are managed by your organization.

Then tried regedit suggestion from other community person that didn't work:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE > Policies > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > PushNotifications.

Now you will see NoToastApplicationNotification. Double click on it.

Now change its value 1 to 0. 1 is default value. You will make it 0.

Click on OK.

Now, Sign out your Microsoft Account. Sign in again.

Issue with this suggestion is that there is no "PushNotifications" listed.

The Some setting are managed by your organization message usually appears if there is any changes happened on the Registry Editor or Group policy Editor. We suggest editing the Group Policy by following the steps below:

• Open Group Policy by typing it in the search box.
• Look for Administrative Templates and click on it.
• Select Control Panel.
• Click on Prevent changing desktop background and it will open an new window.
• Select Disable on the choices and click Apply.

Once the changes were made, try to customize your background again.
