DISPLAY SHIFTS TO THE LEFT

Hi Joseph,



Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.



I understand that the display is not centered with the manufacturer logo aligned to the left, while booting your computer. We will certainly look into this for you.



Basically, if you see the manufacturer logo not centered during the boot phase it is possible that the horizontal position in your monitor settings might be a cause.

In order to check this, look for the menu buttons on your monitor. You may find these buttons in the front or on the side/bottom panel of the monitor.

Go to the monitor settings menu and navigate to “Factory Reset”. One factory reset of the monitor is done, it should bring the monitor settings to default.

However, if you still face issues, please reply to us with:

• Make and Model of your computer and monitor.
• Version of Windows 10 installed.
• Also, let us know if you are using multiple displays.

We will certainly assist you further.

screen is shifted to the left

i have an HP PC running windows 10. All i know is that the model for the monitor is L1916HW. when i moved my mouse to exit sleep mode my screen said "auto adjust" and everything was shifted to the left. The touch bar thing on the side of my moniter iis
brocken so i cant shift the monitor to the right with the monitor menu. Is there a way to change it with the display settings or something? (i already tried restarting my computer)

 

No display on monitor when TV set as primary display

Issue solved

Removed DVI/HDMI cable from computer and monitor

Step 1: Check if the VGA monitor cable is defective.

1. Turn off computer
   
2. Connect the monitor VGA cable from the monitor to the VGA port on the computer
   
3. Turn on computer, VGA monitor cable is good.
   
   Step 2: Tun off computer
   

1. Connect HDMI Cable to HDMI port and TV
   
2. Turn on computer and TV, there is no monitor black screen
   
3. Click on the Windows logo, select the Settings icon , and then select
   
   System. Under Display there are two squares, labeled 1 and 2
   
   D Click on Advanced Display Settings:
   
   Display information: Display 1- Monitor Display 2 -TV
   
   E Right-click the Speakers icon in
   the taskbar, select Sound, click on Playback devices,

   AMD High Definition Audio Device ready.
