    On my built in administrator account i logged into my Microsoft account when downloading something from Microsoft store and then on settings it says my email and logs all the apps in with my email and all my files are there. How do I remove it without making a new account?

    Domain admin account as built-in admin account


    I just upgraded two brand new pc's from Win 7 to Win 10. Computers were already added to the domain in Win 7 and I was logged into the domain administrator account when I did the upgrade to Win 10. Now when I am logged in with the domain administrator account, I can't open Edge. It says "This app can't open. Microsoft Edge can't be opened using the Built-in Administrator account. Sign in with a different account and try again."

    How do I get the local "Administrator" account to be the Built-in administrator account?

    The list of user accounts are:
    admin (local admin account I made in Win 7)
    Administrator (I assume local administrator account that is automatically created)
    administrator.AESSEINVLTD (domain admin account I am logged in with)
    Default.migrated
    Public.

    Hi Brink, thanks for the response; I have checked the Microsoft Store, yet the MSA is NOT signed into the store.

    Thank you for trying to help; I understand that while my account may look inexperienced (including the typo "build is" rather than "built in"), I am far from it. I did mean the built-in Administrator account is logged in with an MSA, as others have commented on below. Understandably, you didn't know, as it was new information to me as well!
    My apologies, I wouldn't have posted a new thread if I had found that thread. You may merge them if you'd like.

    Here are some screens from the laptop. It sounds like there is no way besides a clean install.

    Other notes:
    I can load all the UWP apps without error
    If I press forgot password from the login window I am taken to the Cortana reset MSA password experience
