Windows 10: I somehow recently moved my large files from my computer OneDrive to an external drive all...

I recently forced somehow 3 gig of videos and music files from my one drive on my pc to an external drive. The files somehow are in the root directory of the new drive and all my video files are now JPG files and the name of the file now has the name of " C:\\users]onedrive\documents\onedrive\documents1\onedrive\documents1 and it repeats about two more times. how can I get my video files back to video files?

Just set up the OneDrive sync client and it will handle any amount of data that you want to download or sync to your computer. Then you can easily move files to the external drive.

I have my OneDrive folder on my external drive so all OneDrive files sync to the external drive. But there are some limitations in setting up OneDrive on an external drive.

Defrag: Move Large Files To End Of Drive?

Hey guys, I saw Defraggler has the option to move large files to the end of the drive, I picked movies (MKV/MP4 etc.)

Is it good to move these large files to the end of the drive? I'm assuming it's for less used files so it doesn't read them as fast or something?

Should I do this or just put it back to normal?

 

Recent shortcuts for apps show files on OneDrive instead of local hard drive

I was able to follow the steps and uncheck the "Use Office apps to sync" box but it didn't change Office's behavior. I opened and closed an Excel spreadsheet on my local hard drive. After that, when I right-clicked on the Excel icon pinned to the taskbar, a link to the OneDrive cloud file was in the list of recent files instead of a link to the file on my hard drive.

Do you have any other suggestions?
