Windows 10: i started reseting my pc and its taking a very long time

so i started resetting my pc 12 hours ago.i read that it may be because the pc might be slow but my pc isn't slow i have a r7 5800x rtx3070ti 16gb ram.ITS BEEN 12 HOURS WHY

I suspect that the Windows files are corrupted and suggest you to reinstall the Windows 10 using the Reset this PC option.

Warning: All the data will be lost performing the above steps given in the link. Suggested to take a backup and troubleshoot the system.

Windows 10 Startup Reset log in showing "preparing Windows" for long time

Since yesterday, Windows 10 Os' s taking longer time than usual to open, and on first screen of log in showing "preparing Windows" for long time and then goes directly to set up pin screen. After I skip the step, it takes to Microsoft password verification
screen, then opens the desktop as reset and refreshed (i.e., no saved files in desktop, only few installed programs are there). After working and shutting down the PC, it again resets and shows as above to give pin and a new desktop. The computer is responding
very slowly. Please suggest what steps to be taken to repair it. I don't want to reformat the pc.

 

The mspaint and photoshop programs take a long time to start

Here are some suggestions:

• Try clean booting Windows.
  

• Boot into Safe mode and see if the problem persists. This step is to rule out display drivers.
  

• Delete network printers/MFC/scanners, and cleanup the orphaned items via the registry.
  

• Disable the "Windows Image Acquisition" service for testing purposes.
  

• Re-run a trace. Start Paint and repro the issue. Save "All Events", *zip* the PML, and upload.
