I suspect that I have a corrupted user profile. I don't notice anything wrong BUT I have trouble with a certain video game running and all signs point to it being due to a corrupted file on my user profile it's self. This profile is connected to my Microsoft account, and when I log onto other devices with that account all my settings carry over. Because of this I'm wondering if it's possible to fix the user profile on the computer, without having to follow all the instructions written out here?

There maybe a couple of reasons behind this misbehavior such as a corrupted system file. However, we would like to be able to verify which process exactly is corrupted.

• When you install, does it give you any form of error message when it fails?
• What other processes doesn't go through on the said User account?

Likhitha V's response on this thread. See if it applies to you. However,
just to give you a heads up. The steps are about creating a new user profile and deleting the current one. I suggest you back up your files so you may be able to transfer it. You can also find information about it on the same thread.

Corrupted User Profile

"corrupted user profile" was suggested to me in response to my earlier question regarding the disappearance of all my documents.

 

The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded.

Hello,

When attempting to login to my computer, I get the following message:

"The User Profile Service service failed the sign-in.

User profile cannot be loaded."

I referred to this Help article,You receive a "The User Profile Service failed the logon” error
message,

but the only difference is I only have one user profile on this computer. So, I can't login with another user to go through the steps listed in this post.

Any suggestions?
