Windows 10: I swapped hard drives into a laptop I'm repairing. Why is it making me wait a month to log in?

I recently bought a laptop and I swapped in one of my old windows 10 hard drives into it.I have the password for my own account but not the ancient email or phone number that I used for it. I went ahead and used the option to replace the email with a more relevant one.Apparently, I'm supposed to be able to use my Microsoft account during this duration, but the machine won't let me sign in because it says I've changed too many security options.So I'm supposed to wait 30 days before I can use this machine?Thanks Microsoft. I don't know what I'd do without you blocking access from computers that

I have a windows 10 laptop, its a hp 15 notebook pc, my mom has an older hp pavillion laptop, not sure on model number but its running windows 7, Im wondering if it is possible to swap hard drives and have both laptops run fine. If not what do I need to
do in order to make the swap work?

 

Swapping hard drives between two laptops

My goal is to "swap" hard drives between two very similar laptops; both are HP Minis. One is a 2102, the other is a 110-1025dx, both are running Win 10 Pro and activated/authenticated.

I have been informed on the HP forum that a swap should be "doable", but I'd like to verify. My concern is that the MoBo will not recognize the new signature(s). Could I change the product keys either before or after the swap?

Will merely a swap of hardware be possible? Are there any tips for this?

My main concern is retaining Office 2010 Pro Plus, and moving it to the other laptop. The issue is that I cannot locate the installation media.

Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

You may swap hard drives with Windows if bot licenses were bought separately from computer. Likely you'll need to make phone activation after swap.

Preinstalled Windows are tied to computer so if at least one Windows is preinstalled (OEM) you need to swap just hard drives not Windows copies to be fully legal . So make a backup copy on each computer and restore them after disk swapping.
