Windows 10: I Switched My Microsoft Emails And Now I Can’t Get Into My Computer

I recently switched my Microsoft account emails; so the email from account 1 is now on 2, and the email from account 2 now on 1. But on my desktop i use account 1 here my old email was still displayed, so i tried to add my account again as a new user. Then i shut off my pc, and when i turned it back on, i couldnt put in my PIN, it says: Sign In, when i click that i need to sign in and approve my sign in request with authenticator. When thats done it asks me to make a new PIN which i already have btw, but then i click NEXT, and it just says: “Something went wrong; we weren’t able to set up yo

As per the issue description you have two email id's and you want to change your secondary email to primary on your pc.



I would suggest you to switch the login account to Local user account. Then switch back to Microsoft account which you want to use. You may follow the steps provided below:



Step 1: Switch to local user account

Follow these steps to create a “Local User account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• You will get an option “Switch to a Local account” right below your user account name.
• Select “Switch to a local account” option.
• Enter the required details.
• Then login to the local account and check how it works.

Step 2: Switch back to Microsoft account

Follow these steps to create a “Microsoft account”.

• Press “Windows key +W”.
• Type “users” without quotes in the search box.
• Then select “Users” from the left panel.
• Select “Switch to Microsoft account” right below your user account name.
• Enter the required details (Primary Email ID).
• Restart the computer and then try to login using new Primary account.

Change Microsoft Account Details in Administrator Account

It's quite easy in fact, simply switch the account in question first to a local account, then switch back to a Microsoft account, this time using your wife's MS account credentials.

Notice that before doing this you need to remove the new additional MS account on the PC, the one you created with her credentials. Windows allows only one user account for each email address, if the new account exists you cannot switch the original administrator account to an MS account using the same email address. Login and microsoft email

It asks for a microsoft account and i created one with a gmail that isnt mine (misspelled).

I created another microsoft account with another gmail, and it switched to that email, but then when i tried to log in into microsoft from the browser it told me they cannot acess this account and they suggested me to change the email, which i did. so the profile i have on my pc has the old email listed but i did change this email for that same micorsoft profile.
