I think accidentally synced all my pictures to an old one drive from work and now they are missing, is there any way to retrieve them?

Quick Access not searching Pictures folder

Summary, that last suggestion didn't work.

• I moved the pictures to another folder temporarily.

• Then I tried to remove the Pictures folder with option one at Add or Remove Folders from This PC in Windows 10 | Windows 10 Tutorials. Even after rebooting, the Pictures folder remained.
• So I tried using option two. Same thing: reboot >> Pictures folder still there.

• Since there were no troubleshooting steps for this scenario, just for the heck of it, I ran through the restore steps. Copied some pictures into the Pictures folder, ran a Quick Access search and initial problem remains: Searching all of QA doesn't find any files in Pictures folder, running search on just the Pictures folder does. I want to run a global search and find matching files in any/all of the Documents, Music, Videos, and Pictures folders.

That article dates from 2015 and I'm guessing is out of date. I hope it didn't create potential future problems in my registry.

Bottom line: I'm still looking for a fix.

Thank you for posting to the forum. At this point we need more information to assist with this issue.

• What format are the pictures in?
• Where did this pictures come from?
• What operating system is running on your PC?
• Where on the computer are the pictures being stored, the C:/drive, an external hard drive, etc...?
• Have you tried taking pictures on the phone and syncing to the computer? If you have not please try this to verify the sync process is working in at least one direction.
• Have you tried to sync other pictures on your computer? If you have not please attempt to sync pictures taken on another phone or camera to verify we are looking at an issue with the specific picture files.

One thing you can try in the meantime to get access to the pictures on the phone is to up load the pictures to Skydrive. You can then access the pictures from Skydrive via the phone. This is just a suggestion to get you immediate access while we continue
to troubleshoot.
