  1. I think I bricked my windows and I need to reinstall

Everytime I start my pc it goes to diagnosing problems then boots up the recovery screen. I cant boot it in safe mode either. I can download windows on a usb off of my brother in law pc but was wondering if it would somehow mess with his windows license as dumb as that sounds.

you are correct, if he already reinstalled windows, he need to reinstall all the programs, he might as well do the same thing on the new drive directly, will be cleaner.

I need to move windows to a new hdd

Someone correct me if I am wrong here, but he is not going to be able to move software using Acronis. If you reinstalled Windows the next step is reinstalling all your software.

    I think i bricked my Laptop/Windows 10

    Hi Guys!

I'm Harold. I have a 4 year old acer aspire 4755G which came with authentic windows 7 home basic. Months ago, I was able to successfully upgrade my laptop to windows 10 home version. I'm very happy with this free upgrade and found the system to be super
smooth on my aging aspire. Just now, I was updating my windows 10, and as part of the updating process, the laptop needs to restart. Doing so, the laptop restarted and the screen showed the usual windows 10 blue wallpaper and indicates "please wait". It stayed
there for almost an hour just like that. Thinking that it already "hanged" on me, I forced the laptop to restart again by pressing and hold on the power button. It did restart but the windows OS is not won't boot anymore!!! I think I bricked my laptop!

Please help me. What should i do? Will I still be able to recover and reinstall authentic windows 7/windows 10? I still have my windows 7 product key on the sticker beneath my laptop. will i still be able to recover files on C and D drives?

Thank you very much in advance.

    Regards,
    Harold Balanta
