Windows 10: I think I got my browser session logged. How do I make sure I'm safe?

I tired downloading a software from a sketchy site, and I started the .exe file.It didn't started, so I opened it again, and I noticed that in the background google chrome crashed, so I instantly thought it was some sort of virus. I immediately tired deleting the file, but the PC froze when i tired deleting them. After some tries, i managed to delete the file I used shift + canc, and i removed my Internet cable from the PC and set it in airplane mode. The PC is now running a Microsoft defender offline scan.Should I be concerned about it? The thing that triggered me is Google Chrome closing.
