Windows 10: I think I have a big problem: Most of my games keep crashing with the error saying I have...

It has been like this for a week and have tried the basic things, like "Verify games integrity" and even restarting the PC. The games are in Steam, Ubisoft, and Xbox app most games were AAA rated. I've also had 2 unexpected shutdowns of my PC and when starting again some settings were changed: 1 background was changed to a default color and 2 the display settings changed.I've ran already: DISM, /sfc, as well as Memory Scan Diag., and Windows Defender for malware. Nothing, it all seems fine. I've used CrystalDiskInfo and it says 100% health, and GPU-Z, temperatures were decent, so I don't

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

I gave you a number of things to try besides reinstalling. I took the time to research problems with this game and gave you a comprehensive list of things to try. May I ask why you rated my post unhelpful before you could have possibly tried all the things
I suggested? Why did you only respond to one small step in a long list?

are you saying you havent reinstalled the games?

what is the 'faulting module' listed when they crash? (windows error report thing)

try to reset the settings file or install a completely new game

i'm also thinking you could try certain benchmarks like unigine heaven that have dx9, dx10, dx11, & ogl rendering modes to see which ones crash
