Windows 10: I think my computeris frozen its been showing "Preparing to restart" for a factory reset

Ive been having an extremely slow desktop pc all of a sudden so I assumed it was chrome at first but it seemed to be my computer. Pulling up flies and opening apps took like 15 minutes so I tried to reset my pc with the options "quicker just keep files" and "cloud update of windows" something along those lines. I let it start at 12:30 pm and it's now 6:30 pm and it's still saying its "preparing to restart" the wheel is spinning and I can move my mouse but that's it. Is it stuck? It's it working if the wheel is spinning?I'm scared to turn it off because I don't have a USB with windows on as a b

To help you resolve your concern, we suggest that you follow the instructions below:

Power cycle your device. Here are the steps:

• Force shutdown your computer by pressing and holding the power button down for 5 to 10 seconds.
• Remove all the attached cables for 2 minutes then put them back on.

If the same thing happens, we suggest that you perform the reset again.

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it

 

explorer.exe restarts frequently after a cool boot to windows 10 and unable to reset pc

i followed all the steps you have determined but nothings seems to work,

i safemode also the screen flickered(i.e. the explorer restarted.)

clean boot to didn't help.

atlast when i tried to reset my pc to factory settings, after preparing stage the error occured as "WDF VIOLATION".

I think you please suggest me with a reply to factory reset my pc and reinstall windows 10.
