I have been having problems with my device manager saying that there are problems with the HP R70 firmware. But it says its up to date and I have done the SFC /scannow & chkdsk commands with them coming back saying there's nothing wrong. I have also used HP support assistant to do an operating system check with it coming back with no problems. I am just wondering if I should be worried or its just a glitch with my device manager. My computer has been working perfectly too.

    :)

Why two different 3870's in Device Manager?

mine lists them like that in the CCC.. in the device manager it calls them both 3800 series..

    i dont think it matters..

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

    Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

    • On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
      Device Manager.
    • Click on View and select
      Show Hidden Devices.
    • Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
    • If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
      Update Driver Software
    • Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.
Please post back with the result for further assistance
