  1. I tried running a higher-end game, ran into problems with CPU usage.

So I got the lowest settings and all, I'm fine playing with low graphics as long as fps are somewhat decent. It was all fine until I played for some time and randomly then the fps dropped from like ~60 to ~9. It's really weird as if you wait a little, it sometimes fixes it self, but then the usage goes down once again later, dropping the fps. I have a GTX 1650 and AMD Ryzen 5 3600 cpu. I also attached a photo showing the issue. Is this solveable or is this supposed to happen?

    :)

  2. How fix 4-times-higher CPU usage at idle?

I suggest using the trial period of Tune Up Utilities to find your problem using "Program Deactivator"

  3. SasRad Win User
Causing higher than normal CPU usage

Two processes I've witnessed causing higher than normal CPU usage:

    1) Microsoft Contact import tool (C:\Users\"user"\AppData\Roaming\vlc\Windows Mail\wabmig.exe) which has caused frame drop or "skipping"

Edit: Later found that Malwarebytes quarantined it as a Bitminer.

    2) Superfetch Process (Service Host: Local System Network Restricted) which has caused overall system lag and while gaming.

To fix the issues just end the processes.

low cpu usage when gaming windows 11

Just going to add as it needs clarification: This is an exact game that did reach higher numbers?

Different games will use difference CPU usage. Some will not do CPU usage well. Some will do it better. Unless its an exact same game that did get higher usage and doesn't now then I wouldn't try to diagnose this. Your words don't give a good assumption on this.

Also try toggling Windows gaming mode just to see what happens.
