Windows 10: I tried to change my PIN but I cannot login with the old PIN or New PIN

I am using Windosws 10. I tried to change my login PIN by following Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options > Windows Hello PIN > Change your PINThen a small Window containing three fields labeled PIN, New PIN, and Confirm PIN is opened.I tought the first field labeled PIN means the sign-in option and did not change it. Then II tried several combinations, but they were not accepted.Now when I try to login , I get "The PIN is incorrect. Try again" for both old and new PINs.The old PIN still works on other two computers.I will appreciate any help.

Hi Saschavan,

To help you disable your PIN login, kindly follow the steps below:

• Go to this location: Settings/Accounts/Sign-in options
• Check the PIN options and click the I forget my PIN available to click?
  
• Enter your password, it will prompt you to enter a new PIN.
• Click Cancel and your PIN should be disable upon reboot.

Pin Login not available and can't change or remove my pin

Hi Thank you for the suggestions.

But as shown in my other reply that option for remove or change was not available.

But during further following the article I wanted to add a new account to reset the password from the other account.

Before I could use the other account to reset I also notice I could change my account from Microsoft account to local account.

After I change to local account and setup a new password for the local account, I need to wait for logout and login again. Still no PIN login option available.

I go to option "Add Pin" (still no option to change or remove pin). After I click on it I enter my local password and nothing happen after I click next. No changes were visible.

I continue to setup a new Admin user. During this change I also change on Microsoft Account to administrator.

After I logout and want to login the first time with the new added account I notice that the old account with the pin issue have the login option available again. I try my old Pin and it works again.

So now I can use the PIN again.

I change then the account from local to Microsoft account and pin option still available.

So my guess is that either changing the account from Microsoft to local and click on add pin reset the setting.

OR the change of the Microsoft account to administrator or both together.

Currently my issue are resolved.

PIN not accepting to login in windows...

welcome : What do you mean by Problem is that,.

"Even there is no option to enter the password"

So comfirm after, you try to type the PIN. You don't

see the option "Forgot my PIN" underneath the [Typing field]

but if you see the "I Forgot My PIN" option : Follow steps to reset it

To reset your PIN:

1. Open Settings.
   
2. Click Accounts.
   
3. Click Login Options.
   
4. In the PIN section, click I forgot my PIN.
   
5. Check your password and click OK.
   
6. On the next screen, create a new PIN and follow screen instructions
   
7. Restart your PC and verify that you can login with the new PIN
