Windows 10: i tried to install win7 sp1 manually, but i keep getting "Service pack installation cannot...

hello, i have a windows laptop with win7 32bit, i need help with win7 sp1 pack, i tried to install it manually but i keep getting "Service pack installation cannot continue, one or more system components that the service pack requires are missing" i tried restarting the laptop but it didnt do enything, plz help

SP1 install error?

I tried to install Service Pack 1 on my Windows 7 Professional x64 installation, but it gives a CRC error.

The same .iso was used to install SP1 on my Ultimate x64 install with no issues.

Any ideas?

You gonna install Win7 fresh for SP1?

Windows 7 SP1 is released on the 22nd. My OS has been installed since June 2010 and has accumulated a bit of crap on it, although it's working fine.

Therefore, I'm thinking of reinstalling fresh with the service pack. In fact, I can get the install disc with SP1 integrated into it off my friend with an active TechNet sub and just use that.

You just gonna install SP1 over the top or reinstall the OS?

 

Win7 SP1 Install issues

Have you tried to install from the SP1 iso you can download from Microsoft through a virtual drive because it might have the missing files and go further with the installation without having to use CD drives or whatsoever. I too get a lot of failed updates and never used the Driver Cleaner on this install so far. As a last resort if you need to reinstall the OS search an SP1 kit and install from there. I've tried and it worked with my non SP1 Ultimate key without problems.
