i tried to make a new microsoft account and when i go to that email to verify it with a code I CANT SIGN IN BECAUSE it keeps asking me to verify my password so i enter my password and still nothing changes

You don't make a new account & try to move your entitlements to it, you change the email address associated with the original account.

Trying to switch to Microsoft account from local, unable to...

I tried that, more than once. I go thru the complete procedure of getting a new Microsoft account password, then when I reach the final step to key in the Windows password, I try my NEW Microsoft account password, and I get the same message-invalid password. No luck.

Any other suggestions.
